| 11 November 2007 18:25:53 in santiago hola people, oh my god, i didn´t know anybody could produce so much sick - not me thankfully though. Last night a big group of us went for food, the americans who are friends with the australians wanted to go to a vegetarian restaurant so we went with them and a couple more of their friends. Food was superb, i had cous cous in a stir fry, and deri had falaffel, in fact the food was so good that we´re going back tonight with an australian vegan that we met in villafranca and some more australians - anyway ...... after the meal we went out dot dot, two of the americans came with us, and we met up with the others, everything was good, some time during the night a group of spanish peopel came and joined us and when the bar closed we went to a night club, it was all rather cheesy but good fun.... anyway ...... we get back to their hostel and i crash out on the bed so deri and paula go back to our hostel. ...... dot dot dot.....got woken up at 10 o clock so only got like three hours sleep - we left the night club at 6. They are heading out to portugal today in a hire car, as are the americans, and we are thinking that we might cycle down there? don´t know, we have just bought a new lonely planet guide to spain though, so ???. the americans ...brian & cliff - ...- asked me out to colorado and said that they could get me a job in the ski resort they work in, but june to september is out of season. They work in the ski resorts all winter and then travel in the summer, nice life hey! as it´s sunday everything is shut today, so couldn´t get deri´s bike fixed, i want to get our clothes washed and then i think we´ll be on our way, maybe madrid, but portugal is looking like a strong possibility now. well not a lot else to say, we need to get out of santiago because it´s proving quite expensive, would like agood night´s sleep though, felt really rough all day but am ok now, just tired. i´ve found out that they have albergues in other places and not just along the camino, so i think that they are like ymca hostels or something, ok i´m going now adios beth |
