Santiago still

Hey

So im still in Santiago! Been waiting for my bike to get fixed (which it is!!- Got some shiny new screws and an assurance that everything on it is fine and dandy and even a "Thats a nice bike!" as a bonus- Thanks hari!) And considering what would be best to do. Here are the options- Im open to suggestions and oppinions here so feel free to comment!

1>To Portugal!! Its supposed to be a bit warmer and cheaper there right now and 6 of the people we have met have headed in that direction so it could be fun- ! But- I dont speak any portugese, we know absolutly nothing about what we can do once we get there and its supposed to be quite hilly!

2> South to Madrid! And then on to seville and general southy kind of warm, moorish influenced type places with lots of history! Which sounds nice! But, like portugal, would take us quite far away from barcelona where i think we would like to end up in for christmas/new year time!

3> South to Madrid and then eastwards toward Valencia! Which is where El Cid spent the later part of his life (so i could probably have a damn good time finding all the history to do with him!) The birth place of paelle! Which is fine by me! And then not too far a ride from there up to barcelona....

So there were the three options that we were considering! All have pros an cons and we were havin trouble deciding til we spoke to the guy in the albergue this morning! Then emerged secret option number four!

4> Work in the albergue in Santiago for two weeks while the boss woman goes on holiday! There is only one guy to look after the whole place for the two weeks and the wouldn mind getting a few pilgrims to hang around an help out for a while! So were thinking if we can find a decent spanish course in the city for a week or two and the terms are favourable (like free acommodation, enough money to live, an maybe a bit more for savin to continue on with afterwards) We might hang around in Santiago for another two weeks! It would be cool to cos it would give everybody we met along the way a chance to catch up to us! But it would mean sitting around for another 2 weeks....

So i dont know what to do! were gonna look into courses an stuff here which will be a big influence on weather we stay here or not but, either now or afterward, What do we do? Where do we go? I need to find the yellow arrows in my heart! And clean my bike! (It is seriously covered in mud! ) Anyway! Ill let you know about anymore developments and let me know what you think on the matter or if youve got any other suggestion!
